Andrew Young continues to develop his own unique style as an artist and has donated one of his unique Flow Bowls.
Being from a long Mississippi tradition of having to make do with what
one has is a part of it too. The Flow Bowl Project grew out of
the necessity of finding a way to use obsolete inventory of clear tempered
commercial sheet glass. When tempered glass breaks it is
reduced to a pile of pieces the size of pea gravel.
The Flow Bowl is the outcome of a year of experimentation
of firing this in our kilns. Each flow bowl is one of a kind and captures the
spirit of times – making something
beautiful out of what one has been given.
